A large turnout for the drinks/nibbles last night..good to see so many of you. As Lewis Preston mentioned..this is what sets Avonhead apart, a fabulous parent/caregiver interface.

Santa Parade

Quite a few of our children participated in the Santa parade yesterday .  Was great to see Marion, Charlotte, Nicole, Lucy, Yihan & Alice, and probably others not necessarily spotted.  Also a number of ex-pupils. Hope you all had fun!
Another highly successful disco last Friday night, organised by the Student Council and could be the last one to be held in this hall. Congratulations to all involved, teachers, staff & and pupils of course.

Talent Quest, Thursday 26 November

A fantastic talent quest final yesterday with great performances from all ages & stages, ballet to gymnastics, instrumental solos to lip-synchs and hip hop, mimes & skits. The creative side of the school is in good heart!  Well done to all who competed, finalists or otherwise because getting up to perform in front of peers is one of the hardest things to do.
Overall winner was Ian playing the beautiful Canon by Pachelbel on the piano. Full results from the final published in the next newsletter Wednesday 2 December.

Today the successful Avonhead Rugby is being treated to lunch at McDonalds for winning the Primary Schools 7 a side rugby comp for the first time in ages!

Famous Ex-Pupil travelling to the World Cup

Ben Sigmund, ex-pupil of Avonhead, is an All White and so will be travelling to South Africa to compete in the World Cup next year.
